SBI Online Account Opening Process
Step 1: Fill up Customer Information
In the section fill up details about who wish to open the account.
If you fill up Part A and save the form, a Temporary Customer Reference Number (TCRN) will be generated and also you will get SMS from SBI with TCRN number. The TCRN number only valid for 30 days.
Next part of form can be filled only after you have successfully filled part A.
Step 2: Fill the Account Information Section
The section divided into two part 1.)Part A 2.)Part B.
In the Part A Enter Details about Type of Account and Services required such debit card, passbook, check book, SMS alerts etc.
And Part B Fill up Nomination Details (It is optional form)
You must fill part A, once you fill part A and save the form, a Temporary Account Reference Number (TARN) will be generated(TARN number require when you submit you form to SBI branch. So, note TARN number and that is valid up to 30 days).
After successful filling up of data in the account opening form and SMS notification will be receive on 1st applicant’s mobile number along with TARN.
Step 3: Read the SBI Rules :
Please read these rules carefully before signing the account opening form. By applying to the Bank for opening the account, you would be confirming that you have read the rules and that you agree to abide by these. A print of the same can also be taken by you after generation of TARN.
You Need to Provide the Following Information:
KYC(Know Your Customer) information
Information about the Bank account you wish to open and the facilities you would want in the account.
Fill Form 60, if you don’t have PAN card (Permanent Account Number of Income Tax).
Form DA-1 (optional), if you wish to make a nomination (recommended).
You will need to Documents for Open account:
2 Passport-size colored photographs
KYC documents as mentioned in the AOF (Identity Proof, PAN Card, and Address Proof)
Finally, Printable form, KYC document Xerox copy (require Original Document) for verification when you visit SBI branch.
